The Decision Dashboard

This is what "intelligence for decision makers" looks like in practice: one screen where revenue, margin, orders and customer loyalty stop being twelve spreadsheets and start being a conversation. Period and channel filters update the KPIs, trend, mix, insights, and table. The product-line panel stays on an explicitly labelled trailing-12-month view.

What a decision layer flags

  • Online is the fastest-growing channel in this view, up 30.0% on the prior period. Worth asking: is that growth priced and resourced to last?
  • Dec 25 was the strongest month at MUR 7.5M. Worth asking: what drove it, and is it repeatable or seasonal?
  • Gross margin is trending up, about 0.2 pp between the first and second half of the period. Worth asking: which lines earned that lift?

Why the filters matter

The same business looks healthy over 12 months and worrying over 6, or strong overall and weak in one channel. A decision dashboard makes the slice explicit, so the leadership team argues about the business, not about whose spreadsheet is right.

Why so few numbers

Four tiles, three charts. A dashboard is not a data dump: every figure here earns its place by informing a recurring decision (pricing, stock, channel investment, retention spend). Everything else belongs in a report, one click deeper.

Why the insight panel

Numbers describe; decisions need questions. The panel turns each movement into the question a good analyst would ask next. Modern AI can draft these automatically, but only when the underlying data is trustworthy.

Next step

Want this view of your own business?

A dashboard like this is the visible last step of a short journey: consolidating your data, agreeing which decisions it should inform, and picking the few metrics that matter. Our KPI Selector helps you start that conversation, and the Nexus team builds decision dashboards for Mauritian organisations.
